Psoriasis can be upsetting to live with, but rest assured, there is relief available. Our moisturising products help keep the skin smooth and comfortable. Even better, they are entirely natural and free of additives.

What is psoriasis?

Psoriasis is when skin cells are produced up to 20 times faster than normal. This causes the skin to build up in red, bumpy patches across the body. These raised rashes, known as plaques, are sore and itchy. This can cause self-esteem and body confidence issues.

Treating psoriasis

It is not known what causes psoriasis and there is no cure. There are treatments available which aim to reduce the accelerated cell production. These range from light therapy to anti-cancer drugs.

Otherwise, symptoms can be alleviated by moisturising the affected areas. This improves the condition and suppleness of the skin, reducing itching. Everyone has their own favourite moisturiser, but products without additives and fragrances are best for psoriasis sufferers.

Our Q-24 body oil is ideal for this, as it is completely pure and free of petrochemicals. We have carefully selected oils for their ability to soothe and soften dry skin, including camellia oil, jojoba and argan oils. Together, these provide a vitamin rich emollient which actually mimics the skins own oils. It is fragrance-free and easily absorbed. Vogue Magazine has even described it as a ‘skin saviour’.

Another useful product is our Health Scrub Bar. People with psoriasis often develop silvery scales caused by a build-up of dead skin. Our Health Scrub Bar contain organic seaweed which gently exfoliates the skin, allowing you to shower the flakes away. It also contains a refreshing combination of tea tree and peppermint oils which help cool the skin.

Typically, those with oilier skin types choose our Health Scrub Bar. If you have very dry skin, you may prefer our Neem Oil Soap. Both contain shea butter, olive oil and a complex blend of other premium plant oils.

Whichever product you choose, you can be completely confident that we only use the finest ingredients. We do not use chemicals or artificial fragrances, both of which can irritate the skin further.
