Scalp Massage increases Hair Growth
Research shows that Scalp Massage Increases Hair Growth
CannaFlex is ideal for Scalp Massage –
but could it help you keep your hair?
Or even make it grow better?
Scalp Massage with CannaFlex
Scalp Massage increases hair thickness in non-balding men but could CannaFlex be your secret weapon if your hair is thinning or your hairline is receding?
The Science
Many doctors now accept that scalp massage has been shown to help hair grow thickerin non-balding men.
Recent research has also shown good results inmen who are losing their hair.
Four studies show that regular scalp massages can help hair growth.
A 2016 study show scalp massage by itself increases hair thickness (1)
A larger study from 2019 showed that hair density improves with regular scalp massage. More massage, more hair! (2)
Two other studies show that hair growth is thicker and longer when peppermint and lavender oils are added. (3,4)
Where does hair come from?
Hair is produced by cells in the scalp called follicles. It is thought that massage stretches the skin and causes these follicles to produce thicker hair.
Blood circulation is stimulated by massaging the scalp and this is also thought to help hair growth. Lavender oil (3) and peppermint oil (4) have both been shown to stimulate more hair growth cells and also the thickness and length of the hair.
How to massage your scalp
Scalp massage can be done with fingertips only.
Move your fingertips across your scalp using light to medium pressure.
Go in small circles, gradually working across the whole scalp.
Gentle pinching movements are also sometimes recommended, this depends on the individual.
Start at the forehead and gradually move back across the top of the head.
Move down the scalp to the temples and across the sides of the head.
Bring your fingers towards each other across the back so that the whole of the head has been covered.
You can be sure you have included the whole scalp by massaging each part in the same order each time.
Best results have been obtained by at least two sessions a day, at least four minutes each time. The longer the massage the better the results.
It is important to keep doing the massage daily otherwise any benefits are lost.
Scalp massagers are available, rollers or electric scalp massagers but fingers are fine.
Famous Scalp Massagers
Celebrities who have had success with regular scalp massage include Matthew McConaughey who has been doing daily scalp massage with a minty oil for over twenty years and claims to have more hair now than he had in 1999.
When he challenged a hair specialist in Los Angeles, the doctor was forced to admit that McConaughey had NOT had hair transplants.
McConaughey says that he has never used medication to keep his thick head of hair – “just manual labour”.
